IBIZA

Ibiza has a walled Renaissance old town on a hill, a UNESCO site since 1999, and roughly nobody thinks of it first. Dalt Vila's fortifications were built in the sixteenth century against Ottoman raids and they still enclose the top of the island's only city.

The island faces west, which is the whole reason for its reputation. The sunsets here are genuinely extraordinary and genuinely the point, and they are best from the cliffs on the far side, looking out at Es Vedrà — an uninhabited limestone rock rising four hundred metres straight out of the sea, and the subject of more improbable folklore than anywhere else in the Balearics.

So this is the collection's only towel drawn at low sun, in apricot and sandstone. The second line is EIVISSA, which is the island's name in Catalan and what it is called here.
